Just another ordinary day...

Zer-hrmm...Zer-hrmmm...There goes my mom's latest health investment... *drumroll*... The Osim iSqeeze! Ta-dum! And yes, as I'm blogging right now, I'm actually killing two birds in one stone- There's this common saying: Let your fingers to the talking(yah,I'm typing), I say: Let my feet do the RESTING! Hahahaha...and I mean Foot Massage here! :D Right,ok, on second thought, let's not be tacky here... *tsk tsk*

Neway,I felt pretty bored this afternoon, and I've decided to pick out an all time favourites childhood book...*drumroll again*... It's Charlotte's Web! It's really one of my best book up till today, and I'm not embarrassed to say that I almost cried upon reading the second last chapter (where Wilbur's best friend, Charlotte, the spider, died). It's really very moving.

Oh yah, yesterday afternoon, Becky came over my place, and I prepared lunch, well, not exactly...I practically screeched through the whole time. *blushes* I mean, who wouldn't? My maid,Yaya, dropped a nugget in the frying pan and the oil sizzles and then a drop or two of oil would come into contact on my arm. Ouch! Sorry, but I learnt in pure physics under the chapter on Heat that a small drop of hot oil, having a smaller surface area, would have more internal heat energy and resulting in me crying out OUCH! Wow, my oh my, aren't I preaching about physics...Well, yah, so neway, you know, same old Becky and I, we never fail to snap pictures! Who can resist the wonders of technology- I mean cameras, her phone's totally awesome, we manage to snap some pics from her camera phone, oh and did I mention that Saffie was in the picture too? *chuckles*

I'm totally on CLOUD NINE!

"You can get anything. Anything you ask for in prayer, if you believe."
-Matthew 21:22

"For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will be open."
-Matthew 7:8

Hi hi! I'm back! Guess what...I've....Got...My...End-of-year examinations....RESULTS!!! Let me see...Hmm...is it GOOD :) or baD :( Well, what do ya think?

Duh! Good results of coz! As if i would be blogging if i were to receive :( bad test results...

Yeah, so neway, I was totally shocked when i got back all 7 subject results, I mean, I wasn't even expecting such results. Hey, wait a minute, what do i mean by 'good' results. The term 'good' is very subjective. Right, so let me define it.(as always, my sis, being my Eng tutor, she advises her students to define terms for every expository essay)

Good means:
1. Getting 2 A1s (yeah, i luv Emaths and PureChem so much!)

2. 1 A2 (OMG! Finally a distinction for my ENGLISH- teacher faith, aren't u proud of ur beloved student? hehe :P)

3. 2 B3s ( Scored e highest-again for EGeog, not too bad for SS, well i must say i've improved drastically *smiles*, AMaths)

4. Lowest grade - B4! Yeah! (Chinese-it used to be C5, hallelujah! the cat no longer exists! Oh PurePhysics wasn't my best, but oh well, there's always next time to score betta!)

This time round, I didn't really start an early preparation for the final year exams, well, *blushes* i started 2 wks before the 1st paper actually. I guess prayer really does changes things. I live by those 2 verses above, and eventually I made a breakthrough, I sat for the whole final year examination, and not only that, with good results that seem totally unexpected! Well, there's only one person to give thanks for- God.

Indeed, with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

Gosh! The past few months have been so wild and busy that its almost a blur in my memory. And consequently, I've neglected my blog. :P Newayz, so much has happened today that I'm not even sure if I can get it all down. But I guess I'll just start at the beginning and work my way through. Kkz, here goes...

Morning: Was in school the whole morning. Since the end of year exams are finally over, our school has arranged for inter-class games. However,I didnt take part in any of the matches cos I've got an impt job to handle. Yes yes, I've been chosen by my form teacher to chair my class's booth in the Fiesta Fair event on 27th Oct 2004 to raise funds for charity. Totally awesome! But also totally strenuous! As the chairman, I have to come out with the business plan which includes creating a template which includes the business objectives, market & research analysis, organizational chart, strategy etc...But i guess, i kinnda enjoy taking up this post..hehe..

Afternoon: Completed reading "Hazel, Not a nut"

5pm onwards: Met Becky for SHOPPING! We agreed to hav a Gals Nite out only...but it turned out tt she brought her 'dear' along...sigh...there goes Ladies Nite... But anyway, thankfully Becky didnt forget me in the picture. She did help me pick a suitable pair of C&K stilettos and we went to Giordano to try out the new range of apparel. We settled for a late dinner at Scotts foodcourt, and man, the Mee Pok dry which i'd ordered was fantastic! But the dessert was even better! I had peach yami yoghurt and it was HEAVEN! I have never tasted frozen yoghurt before, and i didnt know that it would taste that good...hmm..yum yum! After dinner, we continued with more shopping in Metro! We tried some 'interesting' swimwear and laughed our heads off! Wahahaha, man we rock! Adrain left shortly after, and Becky and I shared a Slurpee, and i felt the whole cup to the brim and eventually the water overflowed. What a comical scene! How can i be so daft?!? Neway, that's so much of a commotion in 7 Eleven. Later, we took pictures! Becky didnt bring her digicam, but we can always settle for phone camera! So there we went, snap, snap SNAP!

Sharing our Slurpee

*Yawns* Right, its getting pretty late, til my next update, Good Night!

Happy 1st Birthday blog!

It's exactly one year since my first entry of my blog. Wow, how time flies. Fast isn't it, and of cos, many events have happened which impacted my in someway or another. And you know what, I've actually looked back at my past entries, i nodded my head, gave a pat on my shoulder and said to myself, "Narelle, you've come a long way, you have overcome the stormy sea and windy nights through the year. Now, you are left with just 2 wks to your EOY exams, continue to persevere, continue to stay close with God, and I know you'll do just fine!"

Feeling ill...but guess i just miss blogging for the past 1 wk. Back from my HK trip. Been a great experience, learnt how to be independent, cos this time we went for Free N Easy. Let's see...

Hongkong Trip 2004

Day 1
Boarded the airplane. I must say that Cathay Pacific's not too bad. Nice toilet. hehe... This is a pic of the Hongkong International Airport.

Oh and I was a 'Rushian' as in both my Mom and I were travelling non-stop. We met our uncle, and sat the Star Ferry over to Tsim Sha Tsui, where I'll get to meet my 3rd grandaunt. Its been almost 8 yrs since we last met when she came over to S'pore in 1996, i was Pri 2 then. When we met, i could see that she was abt to burst out into tears, she kept sayin that i've grown so much, that she almost couldnt recognise me. Anyway we had a yummilicious dinner, at a Hakka restaurant. Then later a night, i went to visit the Street Markets such as Ladies Street and Sportswear Street. After a quick look at the shops, we went over to 3rd grandaunt's house. The house's really small. Hmm...At that point i was thinking how fortunate i am...

A panaromic view of the city from the peak

Day 2
Did more sighseeing today. Day 1 was just like an orientation day. So in the morning, we took a bus all the way up to The Peak Tower. It was rather chilly up there, freezing cool. It was really high up, and i could feel the clouds! Wow! I shouldnt have worn sleeveless man...Brrr...

Down the peaktram, with my back faced downwards

Day 3
Well, basically, we spent most of the time shopping. Well, what can we say? It's Hongkong... It's either food or shopping. My mom and I took the MTR (equivalent to our Mrt) to the street markets. Yes, I love the bazaars, it gives me a chance to test my bargaining skills. Awesome.

Day 4
In the morning, we went to Stanley Market, a popular beach hangout. Bought some decent beach flipflops, bags and a genuine Roxy jeans. Cool. Once again, it was another fine weather, though a little misty. But i just luv the breeze. Think about it, how often do you get to enjoy the wind brushing against your face? Perfect ambience for couples actually. Haha.

Stanley Beach

Day 5
My mom and I did some last minute shopping around out hotel area in Wan Chai, but most shops weren't open yet. At 11.20am, we sat a bus to the airport, where we bought some delicious HK delicacies, such as the Old Wives Cake and Egg rolls from Wing Wah. I must applaud their attractive packaging, How can one resist? But beyond that, i must say that the cakes were really good. There was a green tea cake which i particularly liked very much. And soon, there i was again, in the plane once again back to S'pore. Home sweet home, here i come!
